Help us spread the word about two unique opportunities for teens and Jewish day school teachers who love literature.

Now in its seventh year, the Yiddish Book Center’s J, which gives teens a life-changing introduction to important works of modern Jewish literature, is accepting applications. Teens from across North America—and from diverse religious affiliations and family backgrounds—come together for five days at the Center to study with college professors, meet contemporary authors, and make lasting friendships. Every admitted participant receives a scholarship for the full cost of tuition, room, board, books, and special events. Learn more and share with the teens in your community.

Applications are also being accepted for our Great Jewish Books Teacher Summer Seminar. This four-week seminar is for Jewish day school teachers interested in enriching their curricula with modern Jewish literature. Working with leading scholars, seminar participants survey Jewish literature from the Enlightenment to the present day, discovering new ways to teach the texts they’re reading. They also develop new teaching materials, watch films, attend concerts, and go on field trips of interest. Each participant receives a stipend of $3,000, and professional development credits are available. Learn more and share with the day schools in your community.

A sheynem dank—thank you for helping us spread the word.

Best,
