The first of the 11 victims of Saturday’s shooting at the Tree of Life*Or L’Simcha Synagogue in Pittsburgh, where a gunman killed 11 people and injured six others, were laid to rest on Tuesday.
More than 1,800 people—some from across the country—came to offer their condolences to the family of brothers David Rosenthal, 54, and Cecil Rosenthal, 59, at Rodef Shalom, another synagogue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood where the shooting occurred.
Below is the funeral schedule for the other victims.
- Wednesday: Joyce Fienberg, 75, and Melvin Wax, 87
- Thursday: Sylvan Simon, 88, and Bernice Simon, 84; Richard Gottfried, 65
- Friday: Rose Mallinger, 97
Funeral arrangements had not been announced for Irving Younger, 69.
