The League for Yiddish is pleased to announce Fun yener zayt shvel (On the Other Side of the Threshold). This collection of articles by Sheva Zucker, past executive director of the League for Yiddish and editor-in-chief emeritus of Afn Shvel, spans some four decades of her writing for the magazine, from the 1980s through 2020. The majority of the essays are from the fifteen years, 2005-2020, in which she served as editor of Afn Shvel, the all-Yiddish magazine published by the League for Yiddish.
Zucker writes with passion, insight and humor on a variety of topics relating to Yiddish literature and culture.
