Jason Greenblatt, the former U.S. special envoy to the Middle East in the Trump administration, has joined OurCrowd, a large venture-capital investment company in Israel, as a partner whose responsibility is building ties with the Middle East region.

“I am delighted to help bring its mission of democratizing venture investing to the broader Middle East; helping startups to solve urgent problems in medical, sustainable and cyber technology; and linking them to the investors they need to bring their innovative ideas to reality,” Greenblatt said in a statement released on Wednesday.

Greenblatt, the architect behind the recently released “Peace to Prosperity” plan, resigned his position in the Trump administration in September 2019.

He was a keynote speaker at the 2020 OurCrowd Global Investor Summit in February, when he talked about the hope that economic cooperation can unite Israelis, Palestinians and the greater Middle East. The summit included participants registered from every nation in the Arab League.
