A new town in the Golan Heights will be named “Trump Heights,” or “Ramat Trump” in Hebrew, after U.S. President Donald Trump officially recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan three months ago.
The Israeli cabinet will hold a special meeting to establish the cornerstone for the new town, which is expected to be a mixed secular-religious community, in accordance with a resolution that will be introduced for approval by the Knesset.
