In spite of the fact that Mexico was a melting pot for Jewish immigrants coming from different parts of the Diaspora, little is known about the fascinating history of Mexican Yiddish speakers. In this talk, our guest Sophie Rubinstein, a native Yiddish speaker with Lithuanian Jewish roots, who grew up in Mexico, will share with us her interesting childhood experiences within the Mexican Yiddish-speaking community.
