Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo Ron Huldai inaugurated the renewed Dizengoff Square in Tel Aviv by lighting the fourth Hanukkah candle of the central Chabad menorah with Rabbi Joseph Gerlitzky, Chabad-Lubavitch emissary to the city of Tel Aviv-Yafo.

The mayor was honored with the lighting and sang with great enthusiasm, emphasizing that “these candles are holy.”

In his welcoming remarks, he said that lighting the menorah symbolizes the determination of the Jewish people to preserve tradition and eternal values, as well as brings light to the darkness in the world.
