San Diego Jewish community leader, Lori Polin, will be awarded the 2018 Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland Award for her extraordinary involvement and leadership in our local community.
The prestigious, internationally recognized Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland Award is given to Lions of Judah who have demonstrated the highest ideals of leadership and involvement. Winners are chosen by their communities as “women of valor” with a lifetime of commitment to the Jewish world. All Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland Award recipients will be honored during the International Lion of Judah Conference in Florida in January 2019. Typically, a Lion of Judah donates at least $5,000 to her local Jewish Federation.
A proud Lion of Judah since 2007, Lori has been deeply involved with the Jewish Federation of San Diego County for over 35 years. Lori currently serves on the Federation Board of Directors, is acting Vice Chair of Philanthropy, and is an Executive Committee member. Lori is an active Women’s Philanthropy Board member, also serving as Campaign Chair for Women’s Philanthropy. Lori’s strong leadership and deep dedication extends throughout the San Diego Jewish community and includes important roles at the Jewish Community Center, Jewish Family Service, and Seacrest Village.
Lori joins past San Diego Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland honorees Sherron Schuster, Andrea Oster, Elaine Galinson, Terri Bignell, Theresa Dupuis, and most recently, Claire Ellman.
