Syrian President Bashar Assad visited Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Monday in Iran, his first trip to the country since the beginning of the Syrian conflict and genocide eight years ago, according to Syrian state television.
The report displayed footage of the former meeting with the latter and said that the two allies agreed “to continue cooperation at all levels for the interests of the two friendly nations.”
