B’nai B’rith presented outgoing U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley with its Award for Excellence in Diplomacy.
The award was given to her at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York for her outspoken defense of Israel at the world body, which is known for its bias against the Jewish state.
“Nikki Haley has assured her place in the history of American diplomacy by her forthright support for fair treatment for Israel at the U.N., and by calling out the severe abuses of the U.N. system, which accounts for the bias against it,” said the organization’s CEO Dan Mariaschin.
Haley is scheduled to step down at the end of the year.
U.S. State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert was picked by President Donald Trump earlier this month to replace the former South Carolina governor. Her nomination requires Senate confirmation.
