Germany’s Chief of Defense Gen. Eberhard Zorn concluded a visit to Israel on Tuesday, announced the Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday.
During his visit, Zorn arrived at Haifa Naval Base, accompanied by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, where they discussed the presence of international forces in the region.
Zorn also traveled to northern Israel to receive briefings on Lebanon and on Hezbollah’s regional entrenchment efforts there, added the Israeli military.
“As part of his trip, the German Chief of Defense visited the Northern Command’s 91st Galilee Division. The Chief of Defense received a briefing from the Chief of Staff of the 3rd Brigade, Colonel (res.) Roy Roussi on Lebanon and the Hezbollah terrorist army’s regional entrenchment. Chief of Defense Zorn then visited the attack tunnel built by the Hezbollah terrorist army to infiltrate into Israeli territory,” the IDF said in a statement.
