In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, the Jewish Federation quickly opened an emergency fund to support the Houston community and others devastated by the storm. Then Hurricane Irma hit, leaving a path of destruction in its wake, and the need to expand the fund’s reach became evident.
One hundred percent of funds raised through this fund from this point forward will be used to help those impacted by catastrophic flooding and damage caused by Harvey, Irma and future hurricanes in 2017.
Jewish Federations are there when you need us most. Our network of local and international partners enables us to respond quickly and effectively. We fund urgently needed basics like food and medicine, and long-term needs like trauma counseling. We provide resources to emergency service providers so they can help where they’re most needed.
