“Together with One Heart” will be the theme of this year’s 72nd annual Israel Folk Dance Festival and Festival of the Arts, taking place on April 7 at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College in New York City.
The festival will feature multiple generations of dancers, musicians, and singers from across the United States, South America and Israel. Every year, the festival performers share the diverse styles and moods that make up Israel’s evolving folk culture in an inspiring and uplifting stage production. Attendees are welcome to join in community Israeli folk dancing for all ages prior to the show, from 12:30 p.m.
The program is presented by the Israeli Dance Institute in collaboration with the Jewish National Fund-USA, and supported by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, the New York Board of Rabbis and the Harkness Foundation for Dance.
