The whole idea of placating Israel haters by giving them an area to create their own State is a tried concept. Israel removed it’s own population from the Gaza Strip in 2005, uprooted and destroyed nearly 2,000 Jewish homes – all with the intention of somehow winning the peace. This pipe dream idea was akin to Neville Chamberlain’s idea of “accepting” Hitler’s demand to take over the Sudetanland in exchange for a promise of peace.
The paper that Chamberlain waived with the signature of the Nazis was worthless and proven to be a ruse. Within a matter of months, the Nazi war machine was marching all over Europe. But the dreamers who don’t listen or read the pronouncements of the dictators continue to ignore the lessons of history. Arab terrorists, such as the leaders of the Hamas and the Palestinian Authority repeat endlessly that they are opposed to the very existence of a Jewish State. They and their supporters do not demand a State of their own. They demand the destruction of the Jewish State and nothing less.
Israel’s population has woken up in the recent few years and has undergone a major transformation. The minority of Israelis that still held onto the idea of creating an Arab State inside of Israel to somehow buy peace have now largely ditched that pipe dream. They saw that the attempt in Gaza created the worst terror attack in Israel’s history and directly led to a war in which hundreds of Israeli soldiers were killed.
Plain and simple, nearly 80% of Israelis have moved on from the pipe dream. The only people still pushing this antiquated idea are the foreign journalists and a few radical Israelis who refuse to learn from their mistakes.
