A member of the Aryan Freedom Network (AFN) in Minnesota, a white supremacist neo-Nazi group, has been arrested and jailed for possessing ammunition, a crime given previous felony drug convictions in 2007 and 2009.

Andrew Munsinger faces charges this week as part of an investigation that began last February. Tips from an informant described Munsinger as a “huge gun guy” who made antisemitic, racist and anti-Muslim comments. Munsinger claimed to have a machine shop where he made untraceable gun parts to “f*** the Jew government.”

Recordings from one informant revealed that Munsinger had set up “booby traps” comparable to mines on his property in case law enforcement came to arrest him.

The Anti-Defamation League reports the Aryan Freedom Network to be a “small but growing neo-Nazi group based in De Kalb, Texas.” It uses Nazi iconography, including a “Totenkopf” used by the Nazi Party during World War II.

The ADL describes the AFN as promoting “neo-Nazi hardline white supremacist views and directs much of its vitriol at Jewish people, black people and the LGBTQ+ community.”

In Colorado, neo-Nazi Chad Edward Keith, 42, was sentenced last week to 27 months for a similar offense of possessing weapons following a felony conviction.
