The Palm Beach Fellowship of Christians & Jews celebrated the conclusion of its 25th season, “Seeking Common Ground” with over 100 people at The Colony on May 1.
After cocktails, Fellowship Education Chairwoman Rosalie Franks presented awards to the winning student essays based on a Robert Frost poem: “The Road Not Taken.” Teachers of the winning students received gift cards for supplies.
Fellowship Chairman John C. Randolph said membership was up 4 percent from last year and the organization has a “healthy financial position.” The group welcomed four new members to the board of directors: Charles Hagy, Suzanne Holmes, Cynthia Kanai and Debora Weinstein.
“We, on the board, are proud not only of what we have accomplished in our 25th year, but also for what we have accomplished in the 25 years of our existence,” Randolph said. “We have come a long way in that time, and I believe we have seen significant progress in fostering respect and understanding between people of the Christian and Jewish faiths — and between people of all faiths, races, cultures and persuasions.”
The fellowship is dedicated “to promoting fellowship, understanding and respect among all religions and cultures by bringing the community together through education, dialogue and interaction.”
