A second arson attack on a Delaware Chabad House in two months happened over the weekend as the Chabad Center for Jewish Life in Wilmington was set on fire.
The fire happened around 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 30 and was extinguished relatively quickly, reported local outlet WDEL. The damage was estimated at around $200.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the incident.
The Anti-Defamation League’s Philadelphia office tweeted on Saturday that it “is deeply dismayed at reports that a Chabad in Wilmington, DE was targeted with arson yesterday. While we are grateful the damage was limited, we know that such heinous acts cause deep fear + pain. This is the second arson targeting a Chabad in DE in just the last few months.”
