Dear Friends,
What started yesterday as a sunny warm end-of-summer day, ended with a scene that looked like a hurricane had just torn through the farm.
Isolated thunderstorms were predicted for yesterday afternoon, but we had no idea how destructive the storm would be.
A massive branch fell on the roof of the green bungalow, multiple trees were downed around the farm and farm road. Our gate is currently blocked.

Thank God, no one was hurt by the falling branches and trees. The danger, however, is not fully behind us. The worst part of the aftermath is that many of the branches broke, but did not fall to the ground.
Several branches are still precariously hanging as high as 70 feet over paths that are used by visitors, students and guests.

Because they are not endangering power lines, the utility will not take them down free of charge, and we are stuck with a dangerous situation.
Our Chol-Hamoed succos family tours are just around the corner and cleaning up the farm removing the dangerous hanging branches is a top priority. We need your help to raise the necessary funds to clear the downed trees and remove the dangerous branches hanging over our driveway and road.
Please donate here. We were not expecting this damage to the property and we do not have the funds to cover the estimated $3,500 in clean-up work. It is our priority to maintain the farm as a safe and welcoming education center. Please help us clear our paths and remove the dangerous hanging branches.
Wishing you a gut gebentsht yor,
Yisroel Bass
