This shooting is being reported as the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
Sunday’s shooting of more than 100 people came more than four months after a suicide bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England. In that attack, 22 people were killed.
In Paris during a performance by Eagles of Death Metal, almost 90 people were killed in November 2015 by gunmen inspired by Islamic State at the Bataclan concert hall.
At this point, the motive of the shooter is being investigated. It is presently unclear if terrorism was a motive in this incident.
