The U.S. Navy captured illegal Iranian-made weapons earlier this week, including 150 anti-tank missiles on a traditional sailing vessel in the Arabian Sea, announced U.S. Central Command on Thursday.
The weapons seized on Sunday included 150 “Dehlavieh” anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM), which are Iranian-manufactured copies of Russian Kornet ATGMs.
Other weapon components seized aboard the ship included three Iranian surface-to-air missiles, Iranian thermal-imaging weapon scopes and Iranian components for unmanned aerial and surface vessels, in addition to other munitions and advanced weapons parts.
CENTCOM said the operation was ongoing.
