The highest number of anti-Semitic incidents ever recorded in the Netherlands took place in 2019, according to a report released on Monday.
The Center for Information and Documentation on Israel (CIDI) has been monitoring anti-Semitism in the Netherlands for about 30 years and said 182 incidents took place in 2019—a 35 percent increase from 2018.
They divided the cases into six categories, including online abuse and vandalism.
The category of real-life cases, which involved threats, insults and assaults on the street or in the workplace, saw the largest increase—from 27 cases in 2018 to 61 last year.
Anti-Semitism at school accounted for 11 cases. Only one incident of far-right anti-Semitism was recorded in 2019.
CIDI director Hanna Luden told Israel Hayom that the organization will soon publish a comprehensive report about online anti-Semitism.
