 Why QATAR?
I find it difficult to understand why the US is having a relationship with Qatar, a well-known supporter of terrorism. The political and military relationships surrounding Qatar is complex and of deep concern to me.
Meanwhile, Hamas terrorist leaders have been enjoying the good life residing in Qatar. They have never even been requested to leave that country. In addition, Israel having killed one of the Hamas in Qatar, was forced by the US to apologize to Qatar.Â
Have we forgotten already that Qatar has been giving billions to US universities in order to support Hamas as well as providing great financial support to Gaza?
I ponder why there is an increase in the US military bases in that country. In my opinion, many other countries in the area,such as UAE or Saudi Arabia could have been selected as an alternative. Apparently, the answer lies in its’ strategic location and so its proximity to the key areas of conflict, its oil resources, and ability to monitor Iranian activity.
However, in my viewpoint, there still remains a fine line between Qatar’s mediating relationship with Israel and the US while it does likewise with Hamas. Claims have been made that their interference and antisemitism go as far as funding Israelis to spread lies about Israel and glorify Hamas. Propaganda has reported that Qatar has paid people in Israel to spread the following five blalant lies:Â
Egypt enabled the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack by letting smuggled goods enter the Gaza Strip; Hamas leaders were based in Qatar at the request of Israel and the United States;Â
Jerusalem asked Qatar to transfer funds to Hamas in Gaza;Â
Qatar is militarily important to Israel and the U.S.;Â
and Qatar, not Egypt, must mediate the hostages-for-ceasefire negotiations with Hamas terrorists.
What is the underlying truth and strategy in all this?Â
