Congregation Beth Ohr is proud to present Karen Goodman’s talk Dancing in Yiddish. Learn about some of the dances that uniquely represent Eastern European Jewish traditions that are as distinctive as the language and culture that developed there. And find out how the style and flavor differs from Israeli dances as much as Yiddish differs from Hebrew. The talk will be followed by a brief chance to dance and dessert.
The evening will begin at 6:30 pm with a brief service and vegetarian supper, followed by the 25-minute presentation. Reservations can also be made for just the presentation and dessert which will begin at 7:45 pm.
