Dodger fans have been aching for a World Series Championship since 1988 when they beat the Oakland Athletics in 5 games.

This was the series where Kirk Gibson hit his infamous homerun in game 1.

Dodger fans have been teased constantly watching their team win the NL West 7 years in a row. This continuously brings hope to the fans who end up distraught when the Dodgers lose in the playoffs.

Not only have fans had to watch their team struggle in the playoffs, but they have also had to watch them struggle in 2 World Series including the 2017 World Series against the Houston “Cheating” Astros.

Many players have come and gone. However, there has been a stable outfielder these last 6 years for the Dodgers. After some struggles, this player was able to win over the lead off spot in the lineup, and hit 36 home runs.

This player is also one of the best Jewish athletes today.

This player is Joc Pederson.

Pederson was born in 1992 to Shelly and Stu Pederson. Joc was born into the Jewish faith through both his parents.

Joc has worked hard from an early age, and has worked hard throughout his professional career continuously which has led him to develop into the slugger he is today.

It is finally time that Pederson and the Dodger’s hard work pays off.

The Dodgers were very silent in the beginning of this offseason.

Fans began to talk, and the fans got what they wanted. The Dodgers made one of the biggest acquisitions of any team.

The Dodgers traded for Mookie Betts, a top 5 player in the entire league, and David Price, a skilled veteran pitcher.

The Dodgers also had a trade in place for Joc Pederson, but luckily for him, it fell through.

The Dodgers filled a hole in the outfield that was occupied by A.J. Pollock who did not play at the level the Dodgers hoped for.

This will undoubtedly be their most stacked lineup in the last 7 years, and it’ll come down to if this team can show up in the playoffs, and will most likely have to take down the stacked New York Yankees.

The Yankees also made one of the biggest signings in the offseason signing Gerrit Cole. Will either team’s acquisitions be enough? Will we see another Jewish Star win a World Series?
