Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz spoke with his counterparts from Bahrain and Egypt on Monday, as well as Jordan’s King Abdullah II, according to statements from his office. During the talks, Gantz delivered holiday greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and discussed defense cooperation.

During a call with Bahrain’s army chief, Gantz emphasized “growing defense, economic and civilian ties between our countries,” according to the statement. “Our partnership is critical to ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East region.”

“I also addressed reports regarding the graves of Egyptian soldiers who fought in the Six-Day War. I assured Director Kamel that the defense establishment will examine the issue with great respect,” he added.

Also on Monday, Gantz spoke with Jordan’s King Abdullah II by phone and wished him a blessed Eid al-Adha.

“I conveyed my hope to meet again soon so that we may continue discussing common challenges and opportunities. In light of the holiday, may the bond between our people and between our establishments deepen and may our region enjoy peace and prosperity,” said Gantz.
