Well meaning activists established a seminar center north of Eilat in 2011 to counsel migrants from Africa who worked illegally in Eilat hotels and kibbutzim to declare that they were refugees, not migrant workers.
They did not suggest this tactic to white Eastern European workers.
We visited that center.
We could not get any media interested in a news story or film there.
At the time, the openly declared agenda of kibbutzim and hotels: workers willing to work under minimum wage and without social benefits.
Now Kibbutzim lead efforts for migrant workers – they want cheap labor.
Kibbutzim do not reach out to 1,000 Jews from Ethiopia who arrived last month.
Neither does the NIF reach out to them.
This Pesach, will RHR open their homes and hearts to newly arrived Ethiopian Jews, who have arrived only with the clothes on their back
Israeli government policy needs no new policy. Israel policy remains what it has been since the Law of Return was enacted: Affirmative Action for Jews. That is the purpose of the nation of Israel.
Ready to bear consequences of 30,000 African non Jews who will insist that their families join them? Family reunification…Sound familiar?
And consequences of Moslem migrants from a nation at war with Israel
