It is an event many in the Coastal Bend look forward to every year, and why not? The combination of food, music and entertainment make the annual Jewish Food Festival, presented by Congregation Beth Israel Sisterhood (4402 Saratoga Blvd.), an experience you won’t likely forget.

Now in its 31st year, the festival offers a wide variety of traditional Jewish meals, snacks and pastries.

The Vintage Shop (much like a retail resale shop) will have costume jewelry and name brand purses for sale, while the Judaica Shop offers large selections of Judaica, mezzuzahs, candle holders, toys, books and kitschy t-shirts.

The “Hottest Yiddish Band from Austin,” Los Klezmeros, will be performing Saturday night, along with Valdino, Illusionist and Magician and The Amazing Alec. Of course, Mr. E. The Mystery Magic Clown will be around on Sunday, when facepainting will be offered.

For those interested, tours will be offered of the Congregation Beth Israel sanctuary.

Again this year, everyone will have a chance to view and bid on auction items ahead of the event. You can do so HERE.

It’s all happening Saturday, November 11th from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and Sunday, November 12th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
