For the third year in a row, our six-week intensive program will take place both in person and online. The Summer Program offers peerless instruction in the Yiddish language and an in-depth exploration of the literature and culture of East European Jewry and its diaspora communities. The program features daily Yiddish language study from beginner to advanced levels, history and culture seminars, shmues (conversation) classes, a theater workshop, lectures by visiting scholars, a Yiddish song workshop, and more.
The Weinreich Program treats Yiddish as a living language and emphasizes spoken Yiddish. Whether on Zoom or in person, we hope you will join us this summer!

REFRESHER COURSE
Instructor: Dovid Braun | During the week before the Summer Program begins, participants will go over points of the structure and use of Yiddish that merit review or clarification before students embark on their next level of proficiency in the Program’s intensive setting. Class discussion will be conducted in Yiddish. This course will utilize College Yiddish as a review text – in particular the synopsis of grammar.
