The image below shows local data for San Diego for the partial eclipse of the Sun on August 21st. Due that the Sun wont be covered completely by the Moon’s disk you will need to protect your eyes from damaging UV and infrared radiation. Do not use polaroid glasses or X ray film.
You can purchase welder’s glass #14 on most hardware stores.
