Following the attack on October 7, which led to the evacuation of the Gaza Envelope residents from their homes, they were temporarily accommodated in hotels and guest houses across Israel. These individuals, especially the children and youth, are currently grappling with significant mental and physical challenges after enduring severe trauma and lacking a permanent residence. In response, the president of KKL-JNF Mexico initiated the transport of 25 boys and girls to Mexico for a month of recreation and relief, where they will stay with children from Jewish families. This experience will provide the young Israelis with a secure and pleasant environment, far from the conflict in southern Israel and the tensions in the northern sector.
These Israelis will join their Mexican friends and attend the Olami School, which was opened to host them. They will actively engage in lessons, immersing themselves in a new, distant, and fascinating culture. Beyond school hours, the children will partake in diverse afternoon activities and weekend excursions meticulously planned by KKL-JNF, members of the Jewish community, and their host families.
To offer emotional and mental support, KKL-JNF Mexico has made sure that an Israeli psychologist accompanies them, addressing any psychological needs that may arise after the harrowing experiences in Israel.
KKL-Mexico is committed to extending assistance to more boys and girls, with plans to transport additional individuals to Mexico in the coming months.

We intend to expand the initiative and fly additional individuals in the near future, for an unforgettable experience.”
