U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he would sign an executive order temporarily suspending immigration to the United States due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!” Trump tweeted.

No other details were given about the move.

Trump previously stopped travel from China and Europe in an attempt to slow the spread of the virus throughout America. Visa processing by the State Department has been suspended for weeks because of the virus, according to the AP.
